Edges. Emulsion, acrylic paint, watercolour paint, graphite and charcoal on canvas. 22.3x 11 x 2cm.
One of a series of paintings I have been making on angled stretchers, in which I seek to deconstruct the traditional canvas form by collapsing (using angled wood) stretcher bars.
The inspiration behind this piece, like most of my work, is rooted in my experience of landscape and nature. Although abstract, the shapes and forms derive from those I encountered on daily walks in lockdown.
